A Message from David Alexander, Vicar at St Thomas' Church
Public Services in Church
We restarted weekly services in church on the 14th March. Times vary as we re-establish the services. Sunday 4th April (Easter Day) @ 10am, Sunday 11th April @ 8.30am, Wednesday 14th April @ 10am, Sunday 18th April @ 8.30am
As before, we will meet in a safe manner and attendees will be seated socially distanced by households/bubbles. Face coverings will need to be worn. We will operate a booking system so we know who is coming and can plan ahead, but we are also keen that any visitors should be made welcome. Please contact the Parish Office by noon each Thursday if you would like to attend. Unfortunately, we will not be able to sing, although musical recordings made by John and the choir and the music group may be played. We will also be unable to serve refreshments.
We will continue to livestream services for those who are unable to attend and will continue to livestream the daily prayers (including Sundays).
10am Each Day – let’s pause and pray for each other.
Perhaps using the Prayer Sheet if you can. We have physically sent out these sheets to as many church members as possible. You can also download or print these from the Google Public Folder or the Church Website, and they have been posted on our WhatsApp and Facebook Pages
The Vicar will be praying with this sheet at 10am from the Vicarage.
This service will be live-streamed each day on Facebook Live
– join us on the Church Facebook page ‘St Thomas Parish Church Stopsley’ (click this title, or search for it)
After the service (about 11am-ish) the video will be posted on a Google Public Folder (click this title to find) and soon afterwards on our YouTube Channel, and via our Church Website,
so you can pray along with us at a later time. This is especially useful if you are not on Facebook.
