About Us

We’re glad you’ve found us and hope that you will join us at St Thomas’ Church for one of our services. Whoever you are, whatever you are searching for, St Thomas’ is a place where you can find life-changing hope and encouragement through God’s Word. We hope you find the information on this site valuable as you plan your visit to us. We look forward to seeing you!

It is our greatest desire that people come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour, enjoy an intimate relationship with Him and grow in their knowledge of Him.   No decision in life is more important or everlasting.  We believe Jesus Christ promises that personal relationship and life everlasting, simply by believing that His sacrificial death on the cross paid our penalty for sin, in full.

St Thomas’ Church is located in Stopsley, which is in the north east area of Luton, at the boundary with Hertfordshire. When the church was built in 1862, Stopsley was no more than a small isolated village. Over the years as Luton has expanded, Stopsley has become a suburb of the town.

The church itself, is a small Victorian building in the Gothic style, which stands in the middle of a well maintained church yard.

We are a busy church, with different activities taking place on most days of the week. Sundays are our busiest and most active day of the week with our different services in differing styles taking place throughout the day.

We look forward to giving you a warm welcome to one of our services or many events soon.
